A 23-year-old man was killed Wednesday night on the West Side.
The man killed was shot in the 100 block of South Springfield Avenue before
midnight. That person was in "grave" condition after police found him with seven
bullet holes in his body.
Police responded to a shots fired call and moments later someone else called
to report a person shot. Police found the 23-year-old at the mouth
of an alley on Springfield Avenue between Monroe and Wilcox streets.
He was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 1:06 a.m.
