A 19-year-old man was found fatally wounded and lying in a vacant lot this morning
on the Far South Side in the city's West Pullman neighborhood.
Anthony Brooms of the 11500 block of South Yale Avenue was pronounced dead at
the Stein Institute.
Officers were alerted about 10:42 a.m. to a vacant lot on the 11600 block of
South Yale Avenue where Brooms was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head
