Man dies following shooting at South Side intersection

A South Side man critically injured in a shooting over the weekend has died of his injuries.
The man was identified as Mario Brooks, 26, of the 9500 block of South Forest Avenue in the Rosemoor neighborhood.
Brooks was in a vehicle at a stop sign in the 8800 block of South Exchange Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. Sunday when a gray vehicle pulled up alongside and a gunman inside opened fire.
Brooks was struck in the head and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition
