At about 11:00 p.m., an armed robbery in the West Englewood neighborhood
left two men in their 30s wounded.
The men were standing in an alley in
the 2100 block of West 64th Street around 11:05 p.m. when a group of people
confronted them and announced a robbery. The men, 38 and 37, tried to run away
but they were shot. The younger man suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks and
was stable at Christ Medical Center, while the other man was shot in the hip and
also taken to Christ.
Four persons of interest were being
questioned in this case
