A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed this evening on the city's Southwest
Side.
The boy was standing on a porch with several others at
a home in the 6100 block of South Rockwell Street in the Chicago
Lawn neighborhood when a gunman in a gray vehicle fired shots at the group
at about 8 p.m.
The boy, who was struck in the head, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical
Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead

Police officials originally reported that the boy had died of his injuries, but
detectives said the boy was alive, but in extremely critical condition.

Is this a way to make the police look good? No the poor child was dead on the scene. This whole block from 79th to 55th needs to be evacuated.

This is so ridiculous. The southside is like a jungle.People don't know how to act . If you don't want ur loves ones or friends getting killed. STOP this madness. Learn how to act. Stop the killing and drug dealing. If people want to use guns and kill well sign up and go to war and protect something the country u live in not a stupid block that u don't even lived on or pay property taxes.
