25-year-old man shot in Back of the Yards

A 25-year-old man was shot on the 1200 block of West 49th Place in the Back of the Yards neighborhood about 3:10 a.m. He's in good condition at Stroger Hospital. Someone pulled up in front of a house where the man was sitting on a porch, and the man approached the van. Someone inside asked whether the 25-year-old was in a gang, and he told the man he wasn't. The driver shot him, and fled west on 49th Place and north on Throop Street
